Wouldn't it make sense to completely axe the show? I am only saying this because this 5th season is going to cover terrible manga material that apparently no one wants to see.

I would hope not. I wanna see what all the commotion was about and I'm not reading the manga lol.

I would hope not. I wanna see what all the commotion was about and I'm not reading the manga lol. |
Same. No matter how much I've heard about this arc being disappointing, I want to see it for myself and make my own judgments (even with only 2 episodes out, I have some issues with it already in terms of pacing and Erina's personal agency).
I have certain genres and shows that I don't like, and even split-cour series that I stop watching because I didn't enjoy the first season, but I don't actively go out of my way to suggest they shouldn't be made or exist, I just don't pay attention to it. So it seems kinda unfair to even suggesting axing the show just because some people don't like it.

Well to be technical it’s not just “some people” it’s pretty much every single person who’s read the manga.
Which is why it should be animated, so all the anime-onlys can join in the pain & suffering the manga-readers felt when they read this.

I know what happens with the rest of the manga, but I have never read it. I was actually interested in watching season 5 of the anime but changed my mind after hearing how the manga self destructs. Go ahead and watch season 5, but I rather not see such an unique show be ruined.
