I know that Kougeru wants nothing to do with Shout! Factory, but I will probably get the standard BD release for B: The Beginning.

The price difference between the Standard and Ultimate Editions especially that the discs for each are the same is a big YIKES from me.

Limited Edition includes art cards, sound track, and an Artbook for about $100 more.

Yeah I would agree that is pretty steep.

Not going for either, series never really piqued my interest.

Holy cow that LE price. For $130, you'd expect something a little nicer. AoA prices without the quality lol. Still, at least it looks better than what the last company who tried this approach did (Ponycan USA with their atrocious weird sized sets).

EDIT: Welp scratch that. Seems this set is also weirdly sized with the discs maybe being housed in the artbook (ugh). Now I'm hoping they don't get the US home video rights to any more Netflix titles lest we be plagued by more of these LE's. What's wrong with just nice chipboard artbox with a booklet or two?

One set is for hardcore fans and the other for casuals. The biggest thing for me is that if Anime Limited is going to start releasing a bunch of anime from Netflix, it just gives me hope that they can put out Yuasa's Devilman: Crybaby, which I would gladly shell out money for!

If this means other anime can get BD releases, then I'll gladly shell out money for Aggretsuko and Little Witch Academia!! Release those next!!!
