I am so happy for her!!!! I've actually been a little down when I read an interview long ago about how she wishes she could've gotten married or make a family. ^^ I am so happy she is getting married!

Wow. To be honest, I was kind of not expecting Nana Mizuki to get married any time soon because she's always seemed like one of the biggest "Idol" seiyuu in the industry.
At the same time...congratulations! I wish her nothing but happiness. |

I never expected to see Nana get married in a headline, but then again... Nana wills it. Now I'm reminded that she's 40 and its hitting me. Time is moving too fast. I remember it like it was yesterday when...

Almost 20 years since I first heard her silly exaggerated long-enunciated syllables as the character Aria in Sister Princess.
Congrats to you Nana and to your spouse. I hope your fans don't go too crazy and you can get the family life you want. |

I got pretty shocked of the announcment. Not because I wanted her not to marry. Mainly because I thought it is highly unlikely.
Even now she is probably the biggest pop-star bewtween female seyuu and as I know her music label (King Records, if I am not mistaken) has a very harsh contracts regarding relationships (fellow seiyuu Yukari Tamura broke with them because of it). That is surprising but honestly, as a fan of her work.... I am happy for her.
As far as I understand it, that is not unique to King Records. It's a well known industry-wise problem and I think that part of the blame to that (and the solution, oddly enough) is the consumers of the media. It's been well known that being an idol is tough if only because it has such a high image of perfection that is keeps the bar high. Add in some rather bad misbehaving in the early years and you see the industry tend to crack down on idols as a whole. Their are exceptions, of course, but since the industry seem sustainable... nothing chnages, yet. I get the feeling that the digital music age (which mostly passed Japan by) will likely force a few issues, but we'll see. |

In recent years, Nana-san has been involved in so many yuri-ish franchises like Symphogear or Nanoha that the news of her wedding even seems a little sudden, lol.
