Interesting choice for a Toonami airing. Though I'm just glad we are getting some new content after months of reruns or stalling tactics like marathons and films. The return of Jojo was a good sign, and AC's introduction is a hopeful sign that things are slowly starting to stabilize again and that the bare-bones line-up will soon have some new meat on its bones.

While I don't f**ks with dubs, though I do owe Toonami a little bit for being who I is, and AssClass was the first manga I picked up prior to being turned into anime so I really dig this union, might just check it out.

Five years ago this would've been a very exciting announcement but this anime ended four years ago. Oh well, better late than never I guess. And Toonami could really use a new show.

I remember Assassination Classroom being all the rage when it first aired and then it seemed to vanish from the fandom conscious after it finished. I’m not really sure why it did since I never heard about it doing anything bad or anything. I hope this will raise interest in the show again as I remember being pretty fun and unique. I hope this can also lead to other “older” shonen stuff being on Toonami. I’ve always Ushio and Tora would be a great for the block.

It makes sense right now. Toonami generally prefers new shows since there is less chance that its audience has already seen the show, but they have to balance that with maintaining a schedule. Airing simuldubs shortly after they were done worked until those weren't happening consistently. MHA eventually finished after several reruns, which is something Toonami tries to avoid these days. Black Clover is essentially caught up. JoJo went on hiatus after they were told it would be quite a while before new episodes would be done. Assassination Classroom might not be the newest thing around, but at least they know they can run it consistently.
