I associate Shonen Jump with things that generally can't go past the PG-13-ish range. Is Jump Plus for seinen titles? Just wondering if this is a series where the "safety belt" is going to stay on.

No, Jump+ and likewise Jump Square, etc are all still shounen. Many other shounen titles are serialized there. The standard nomenclature for seinen magazines is using "Young" e.g. Young Jump instead of Shounen. You'll see rival Kodansha also using this standard. Also many classic Weekly Shounen Jump titles would've been considered R-rated in the US due to nudity, smoking, drinking, gore, etc

No, Shonen Jump+ is, as the title already makes clear, still a Shonen web mag. Though, considering the stuff that Jump SQ and Weekly Shonen Jump do these days, that doesn't mean much ^^

Just read the first two chapters and I thought it was pretty fun! It’s definitely very silly, but the art is absolutely beautiful.

Also for everyone in the comments, I would suggest just taking a step back and actually reading the manga. It’ll clear up a lot of assumptions that are being made here. And also it’s free!

Jump+ works are not strictly "shônen", as -among other things- they have depicted sex scenes (to some extent) with heterosexual and homosexual couples (Hina Change, Abyss Rage, Dear Sa-Chan).

Where are the english chapters? Followed the link, but only saw Japanese text. Didn't see a button or link for the english translation.

Source link in article goes to the English chapters for me: https://mangaplus.shueisha.co.jp/titles/100114

I read the first couple of chapters and it was kinda eh. The art isn't bad but I don't see myself following it. 2 chapters in and already felt kinda repetitive humor-wise.

Cleaned up the thread. Let's make something clear, using the word "trap" in the context here is not allowed at ANN. It is in fact seen as a very offensive term and slang. Whether or not you personally agree with that does not change the fact that many do feel that way. So the term in the context as it pertains here is not allowed. This has been true here for a while now actually, so it's not a new rule. I suggest everyone calm down and move on from that discussion.

Anyone who decides to keep insulting others directly, or making rude blanket judgments that people are snowflakes or especially delicate will wind up on moderation. Agree to disagree and move on.
