Funimation announced at the same time a dub for Dr Stone season 2 for January. https://twitter.com/FUNimation/status/1301945660753707009

I like that they are willing to do something other than entirely exclusive streaming rights. I wouldn't mind seeing more of that, especially if the show is a sequel season to something that was licensed when they were partners.

I was fairly sure Funi would get the rights and would dub S2, but it's nice to have the confirmation. That new visual though; that's SO good~

Funimation and Crunchyroll have been doing this for most of their titles that were licensed during the FuniRoll deal. Funimation is also handling and streaming the dub of Fire Force and the Index franchises. One of the few exceptions has been Re:Zero which used to have the dub on Funimation but is now on Crunchyroll. I’m not surprised by the Dr. Stone news but it’s nice to have confirmation and I assume this will probably air on Toonami too.

Yeah, the only murky area seems to be movies like Tanya or Goblin Slayer.

It'll probably be the same for Quintessential Quintuplets season 2.
