It isn't surprising at all that Seven Deadly Sins destroyed the competition by that much considering that the chart is only for this last year. Otherwise, Violet Evergarden would have probably been a close contender for the number 1 spot. Of the other nominees in this list, only Beastars and Castlevania really were popular enough to even come close, although it is surprising to see how well Blame did, especially since it came out a few years ago.

Omg in Poland it's Beastars Laughing I'm actually surprised, but in a good way? Especially since there's no dubbing for it, but for Seven Deadly Sins is. So I assumed that this one's gonna more popular...

Well, Beastars has been out for 5 more months than the new season of Seven Deadly Sins, so that might be a contributing factor. I am pretty sure that if the data would show by the last month, Seven Deadly Sins would be more popular.

Castlevania isn't an anime so that makes this worthless to begin with, but also I'm fairly certain that I read somewhere that Netflix's most popular anime are the ones they "recommend" (basically an ad) to people on the Netflix page itself. Basically that most people are not searching anime on engines before watching them on Netflix

Yeah, the value of the infographic is very questionable so far as presenting what it purports to present. "Most searched for" isn't the same as "most popular", "most watched, etc... and may or may not correlate to those things. The article, and the infographic, should have come with a disclaimer to that effect.

But, the marketing company nobody has ever heard of just got free advertising, and the insurance agency got a torrent of clicks... so it's all good.

I’m surprised Aggretsuko isn’t more popular given it’s Sanrio and it seems to be big among the furry fandom especially. I guess Devilman Crybaby was one of those shows people watched once and didn’t bother with again. I can’t say I blame other fans for that because it is a rather too heavy show to just go back and casually rewatch.
