The only reason I can think of why it gets a second season is the tremendous boost to the LN and manga adaptation sales, since its BD projection isn’t very good.

That being said, I like it! Although that makes me even more confused why they are wasting episodes on bland fillers if they are contemplating on a second season

It doesn't matter if are a filler or not because the target audience doesn't know. And don't mind either.
