As much as I like manga now, I can’t help but remember how much I wanted to punch Nagatoro in the face during first chapters.

Hmm, seems kind of similar to Teasing Master Takagi-San--except where Teasing Master really was harmlessly-intended teasing (by comparison), based on the trailer Don't Toy with Me seems to be full-blown sexual harassment, made "palatable" by the fact it's a girl doing it to a guy and not the other way around. I certainly hope maybe things change as the episodes go by, but we'll see.

I'd rather the show stays true to the manga. For many a male teenager, this would have been a godsend. We would be 'figuratively' beating up the main male lead for being clueless. After all, for male teenagers, sad as it is, any attention is better than none.

Yeah but, everything she said to the MC was true, especially about his story. He needed to hear that stuff. What's more, she backs it up immediately when she points out how ludicrous his story is by having him try reenact it in real life. I saw her "bullying" in the early chapters as her trying to find a way to share her criticism without having to look like she was interested in his hobby. It's as the story goes on that we see her stop worrying about such things and she eases up to more flirting than teasing. |

I can't wait to watch this for the facial expressions alone. It's also going to be interesting to track any "outrage" towards Nagatoro's bullying for the first few episodes. That is assuming there is any outrage to begin with considering she's at her worst early on and then gradually mellows out. I'm not sure she's bad enough to turn that many viewers away from this series.

Yeah, I really don’t get the appeal of these kind of shows or why the female leads are worshipped around the internet (and I mean from the 4chan/KYM types who are all about dank memes). I mean I get from people here that it becomes wholesome later on, but it seems like the appeal is solely based on how awful these girls are and, not to say they don't exist, but I don't see any women who seem to go for these characters, seems it's mostly men. Edit: I'm sorry if I come across as generalizing or saying everyone who likes this show is bad or anything. I just find the whole appeal and phenomenon behind these shows strange and I just can't make heads or tails on it.
Way to defend your Japanese cartoon, kid.

Didn't like the manga, so I doubt I'll care for the show.
Content aside, I just really hate Nagatoro's facial expressions. I guess it's a personal preference, but I just really hate the way she's drawn. |

it's called "tsundere" who's leaning against the border fence of "yandere" and in love with her thick-as-a-brick school mate. If he wasn't such a herbivore plank, he'd have smacked her with one a long time ago, but then that wouldn't make for good reverse loli.
