I honestly had a good time with this trash show. Is it good? Naw. Did I enjoy it? Yeah.
Also, Sensei can sit on me any day of the week.[/spoiler]

I watched this one out, but can't see myself ever watching it again. There are much better fantasy ecchi shows out there.
Kim hit upon most of the criticisms I'd lob at the series, so I'll only add that it also has one of the weakest OPs of any series I've seen in recent memory.

Horrible series. The light novels are just as awful. The whole "this is good trash" is giving this series too much credit. It's just flat out terrible. It's not even good ecchi. This series is like horrendous Danmachi for very young teens.

I actually enjoyed the Opening. It had a really fun, peppy, beat and showed the show off well enough.
Not one of the best, but solid for what it was.

I enjoyed the show, so I was actually hoping to check the novels and manga out...

I seem to remember dropping this about five minutes into Episode 2 because the male lead was coercing a female clerk to do something sexual that she clearly wasn't comfortable with. Was that just, like, a one-off thing? With the way all of Episode 1 went it felt like that was going to become the norm, or at least a semi-regular "gag".

Well, he didn't really coerce her, she basically offered it up on the condition that he do something she thought was impossible, and then when he did it he took her up on her offer.

Nothing novel...

Its an uncommon a joke to have semi jealous characters hating on a harem lead but its normally done in a playful manner or just as teasing. Its common enough to be a recognised joke to do in a harem series. Like the mechanics from Martian Successor Nadesico and the soldiers under Tanya in Isekai quartet about Kazuma and Subaru. Or the friendly ribbing of Yuji Sato by his jealous friend Keisaku Sato in Shakugan no Shana and Youhei Sunohara of Tomoya in Clannad.
