I'll give it another year before ending but yeah, Kamuy always struck would end sooner rather than later, it is a race to find a treasure after all. If not for the well-done shifting and changing of character alliances and ever-expanding details of the historical and sociopolitical setting of the early 20th century plus being also a Japanese/Aniu food guide, I'd be surprised it managed to stretch out it's story for this long.

I LOVE the anime adaption. It's a real gem.
It's better to run "short" and end on a high note, before it's running out of steam and keeps dragging on. As long as it maintains that high level of quality, I'm happy with that decision. I've seen many manga going down the other path and it never really ended well. |

I haven't been keeping up with it weekly because IMO it's just fun to binge read it. Can't wait to see how it ends!
