So a 4th season would cover volumes 10 & 11,as the movie would be adapting volumes 12 & 13 (The Holy Kingdom arc- which needed a movie as that arc is pretty grim).

This news is both good and bad.
The good? Since the movie was announced to be adapting The Paladin of the Holy Kingdom arc, that means Season 4 will only be adapting 2 books (The Ruler of Conspiracy + The Craftsman of Dwarf) as compared to 3 books in all the previous seasons. Which means it will have much better pacing and will likely adapt the source material much better. The bad? The movie is adapting The Paladin of the Holy Kingdom arc, which is a 2 volume long arc, the 2nd Volume being longer in page length than any book before it in the series. How in the hell are they gonna fit that much material into a movie? Unless the movie only adapts the first half and it gets a 2nd film. |

Volume 12+13 is nearly 1000 pages. There’s no way you could adapt all that in a 2 hour movie.
