I still remember watching Jérôme Alquié's Hades arc video back in the early 2000s, downloading it from Ares or something xD

I don't know when exactly he made this, but it must have been before 2001, before the official Hades Saga OVAs were released, or even revealed to be in production.

Legend has it that it was thanks to him, and this fan-made video he made that Toei, who were in an animation fair in France and saw the video and the fan reaction to it, decided to make Hades Saga OVAs... That's highly unlikely tbh, making the Hades Saga OVAs was probably in Toei's mind already, but I like to think that Jerome Alquie's Hades video had something to do with it Razz

Anyway, I love how things came full circle, and now he is working officially for one of the franchises he loves.

I remember he was drawing arts of SS and I've been following his arts for so many years.

I am happy for him that he finally working on official.

Hoping for a Zeus arc.

Sadly, I remember reading an interview from him some years ago saying it was not true, as far as he knows.
The fan trailer they made was way more popular than they thought it would be, and it was indeed shown in an animation fair where Shingo Araki (the character designer) was invited, before we had any information about the Hades adaptation.

I mean, in October 1990 we had Dorothée's interview of Kuramada, we were already waiting for new episodes (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HRrLkDT41v4), 10~11 years later a fan made a trailer appear, then you have some news about the Hades arc being adapted after all these years, I also wondered for a long time if there was a real link or not...

I can't wait to see how things turns out. Will he adapt an already existent history, or will he write a completely new one?

I would already enjoy any of those possibilities! But personally, I would love to see something new by him too, hehe.

Well, let's see how that is gonna turn out.
