The Hero Laughs While Walking the Path of Vengeance a Second Time (god these titles).
Was just checking this series out and it's just Redo of Healer but not as over the top and it's also a isekai plus reincarnation, ugh.

Glad Magical☆Explorer was finally licensed. The eroge references make it strangely nostalgic. Easily in my current top five trashy reads.

Edit: I should also mention the summary is slightly misleading. The protagonist doesn't game the system to win over any girls at all. Nor is winning them over one of his goals. The actual story is about how his fascination with magic drives his goal to become the strongest person around despite being a weaker side character. It's basically a magic high school series with a protagonist who is a little dense but also genre savvy.

The summary makes him sound like a total creeper. Razz

At least there's no sexual assault in this one. spoiler[Evil princess thinks he might assault her, but he's actually disgusted by the idea.]

Huh, busy few days for manga and LN readers. Well, none of these really speak to me, but glad to see some people have been waiting for them Smile

A lot of these sound interesting so I'll definitely keep an eye out for Rust-Eater and Omega.

From the summary of The Hero Laughs, I thought they'd mistranslated Redo of Healer but to learn there are actually two series with this specific premise is truly ridiculous.

Apparently, gender-bender manga are still very much a thing, and it's a mix with the villainess reincarnation genre, so this sounds like a genre crossover made in heaven! Very Happy

I'm a little surprised by Namaiki Zakari considering how long it already is. I've read the German release up to volume 17 and while the series felt really fresh at first due to time passing in the protagonists' lives and them growing up, I really want to see it end soon. The series has one of the most annoying spoiler[love rival characters ever who just refuses to give up even though he's never had a chance, and the female lead has said so to his face multiple times.]

Is this the first BL Omegaverse manga title officially licensed in English?

The first licensed in print. There are several omegaverse bl licensed digitally on Renta and the like, but Yen's the first traditional publisher to license one.

(Personally I was hoping that barrier would remain intact because omegaverse spreads like a weed once introduced to an environment and I'm not at all fond of it, but I know it has its fans, so fair enough.)

I have mixed feelings about the Omegaverse. OTOH, I love stories that include pregnancy and (happy or otherwise) couples becoming parents. They're not that common, even in the romance genre, and the omegaverse opens up that niche to include interesting twists that can, at their best, provide thoughtful commentary on gender and gender identity, birth control, pregnancy, and queer couples becoming parents in a world where that is the norm (or isn't quite the norm, but isn't as unusual as it is in some countries without gay marriage today).

OTOH... the usually unequal power dynamics between "alpha" and "omega" subgenders and the concepts of "heats" and "ruts" and "marking" and other ways authors make up "biological" reasons that justify not-quite consensual (or worse) sex scenes and unhealthy or outright toxic relationship dynamics...I'd much prefer to have imagined scenarios in which anyone of any gender or sexuality can become pregnant (and deal with all the complications thereof, like birth control) without all the weird often unhealthy unequal relationships, poor communication, and rape. And some Omegaverse stories avoid those things, but so many indulge in them.

I hope this one is as consensual as the best ones are
