The EZ manga has been going since mid 2018 and Eden was announced in mid 2019 but to be fair, it was originally supposed to release in late 2020 nowhere near the release of the EZ anime. It only ended up releasing around the same time as EZ because of the delays.

Yeah, I've followed the EZ manga since it started and I looked into the production history for Eden, but shows like this one usually start development some time before they're announced. Of course, the earliest Mashima could've possibly started working on the manga was 2017, but you can't help but notice the parallels, including certain things that won't be a part of the current season...

I kinda like Eden okay. It's no masterpiece or anything, but I don't think it's bad either.

I enjoyed it for what it is, a good little sci fi series.

For some reason, I expected a lot of tongue-in-cheek evaluation of the series as if it were an anime adaptation of Eden: It's an Endless World!

In a word: no.

Clichéd is another word that could be assigned to any of the characters. Sadly, like 98% of the anime ever conceived and produced, a waste of talented artists. Mediocrity reigns supreme.
