Does anyone know if the animation is better in this than the TV series?

After seeing the movie, I can safely say the animation is a definite step from the TV series though it's not exactly Production I.G.'s Haikyuu levels. While the big soccer match did use somewhat clunky 3DCG, I was a lot more invested in the match because the movie did a great job establishing the stakes, and I was able to follow the action. There was also a neat animation sequence of a soccer play scene Onda imagined around 3/4ths of the movie which encapsulates one of the major subplots.
