I still find it crazy that DVD sales of the Dragonball franchise can be this high, after it's ended for over a decade.

Its the first time they are releasing the Dragonball series in single DVD releases. Before now, you had to buy the ENTIRE SERIES as one gigantic box set for a couple thousand dollars US.

Anyway - does anyone know what is in the limited edition of Manabi Straight! I have not been able to find a description of that one that says what is different between that version and the normal version.

It was closer to 800 American dollars (100,000 yen)—not quite a car down payment, but it is a notebook computer's chunk of change. Smile

From the article: Smile

Likewise, Manabi Straight! lured people to the school comedy's first limited edition disc by dangling its bonus desktop accessory and mini-game CD-ROM.

You don't know HOW HAPPY I was when I read this.
I LOVE Nodame Cantabile.

Nodame is really good. Not surprising that it is at the top,

The single DVD for Dragonball make sense. But it is pretty crazy that people would still want them. I guess if its good its good.

Well, the single DVD releases of DB and Z (and probably GT and movies) are very, very pretty in every way, shape and form, so it's not that suprising (plus it was and is a cultural phenomenon).
