Oh thank god. I was afraid they'd stay with Kujibiki and not bother with another Genshiken.

Somehow I just can't connect to its official website...
Anyway, this is what I call a news report. I went out for dinner 30 minutes ago; when I returned I saw the same news on both Moon Phase and ANN. GJ for Egan.

wow I can't wait to see it! I am a bit worried though - I liked the drawing style in the first 13 episodes compared to the one in the OVA.. I noticed the colors became more solid, which is not that bad, but everyone's face changed a bit..

Finally!!! Back then when the rumored 2nd season turned out to be the Ki..something Unbalanced, I almost threw my computer out the window.

I'm excited by this news. I love Genshiken, and I'm glad that another season's coming out. I don't own the anime, but I do have the manga, and it's really enjoyable. I can't wait until October!

Okay, so this time it's lagit right? We're not going to get another announcement in two months saying that it's actually another Kujibiki Unbalance series right?

So here's a question: What were the sales like for the first Genshiken here in the US? Is it likely that the second season or the OVAs or even that Kujibiki Unbalance will come over any time soon?
Also, would it be likely to get the full release treatment (artbox, extras on disc, dub, etc.) or would it more likely be a stripped-down "we don't think it will sell so we won't add any selling points and we'll blame the fans after it fails" release? I've been thinking of getting the first Genshiken but I hesitated because I heard it ended right before going into the best parts of the manga. |
