Never heard of this Nagase fellow, but I'm very familiar with those other three Smile. Should be interesting to see BONES do some movie quality work. With Ouran Host Club's popularity growing ever more and their current project in Dark than BLACK (very spiffy, so far Very Happy), it seems like we might have another eventual hit in the works. They've already got Spike/Togusa/Kaji, Hitomi/Haruhi, Kiba/Tamaki/Light, and even Batou from GitS in the cast and music by X (TV)'s Naoki Sato, so I'm guessing it might be a drama.

But then again, the distributor is Bandai Visual, so hopefully they won't charge 500 quadrillion dolloars for a standard edition of the DVD and quadrillionuple the price for a Limited Collector's Edition or whatever...

Wow, that's some cast. They better come up with awesome plot to live up to that cast...

But they really need to stop using pop singers as VA's. It didn't work out too well in Jyu-oh-sei.

That is quite a cast indeed. They've even got Unshou Ishizuka (Jet Black) in there for good measure. This film has so much going for it. I hope it doesn't disappoint.

Wow that's a pretty sweet cast, and with BONES' working on this movie I must say that I am interested. I am really looking forward to Skullman, in fact I might even check out the live action episode 0.

It would be a tragedy of epic proportions if the dub cast isn't as stellar as the Japanese cast....

Didn't BONES animate the Cowboy Bebop and Fullmetal Alchemist movies? Then again, the latter wasn't really up to par with theatrical animation, in my opinion.

Yes, but I meant it should be interesting to see some current movie quality work Wink. 2-3 years in animation can be a long time these days for a lot of improvement in between.

I belive BONES is also credited with the animation for the Escaflowne movie, or at least the majority of it as it was a coproduction.

If Bandai Visual has the rights for distribution outside Japan, it's not exactly a given we'll get an English dub. (Or any other language besides Japanese for that matter.)

And like Tony K. mentioned, we'll also be darned lucky if it's not priced far above what any rational person would be willing to pay. (Rational in this sentence meaning someone who buys anime DVDs but does not like to pay the full MSRP, not someone who just watches it on YouTube or whatever.)

Bandai Visual's current strategy for their releases is. . . a tad problematic.
