Not like this is a difficult one to see coming as a huge appreciator of all things ghibli for a multitude of nuanced reasons, but this film? Really seems like it's gonna be something special. The refinement over the years leading to the maturation of artistry I noticed in The Wind Rises is all I needed to see to know that anything Miyazaki puts that sort of effort into moving forward is being approached with a lifetime of wisdom that translates to the screen with a mystifying sort of glow
