Magatsu is a nice surpise. Hopefully Kings Raid and Talentless Nana arent too far behind

Magatsu is surprising, I didn't think the show would be nearly popular enough to warrant a dub. I did enjoy it though, even if it sort of fell apart in the end.

Its nice to see Funimation get back on a more consistent simuldub schedule again. I just hope they're doing it safely.

Michelle Rojas and her ex husband were the coproducers? That sounds kind of interesting. Also an interesting mix of Texas and Cali actors.

Yeah, the Magatsu dub really seemed to come out of nowhere (and that cast list is super unusual in a good way), but I suppose outsourcing to Studio Nano to work on one of their backlog shows makes sense.

I'm super excited about Vanitas, that was the one new simuldub I was most looking forward to checking out! While I also hope Sonny Boy and Kageki Shoujo get some love, the former has consistently super detailed animation/mouth flaps to the point where I feel like it could be a challenge to whoever works on it and the latter's Takarazuka Music School-inspired premise/setting probably means I'll just stick with the sub and only check out the dub later more out of curiosity.

I had completely different people picked out as front-runners for the leads in my own casting predictions (one of whom was cast in Magatsu funny enough), but I think Stephen and Zeno will sound great. I also have a lot of faith in David Wald directing here, and glad to see him get more projects!

Lastly, I know the translations/subs for this show are really well done (uncredited for now I believe, but seriously, major props to them!) so if the dub script can capture and amplify that same energy, we're in good hands.

Count me in as another one pleasantly surprised that Magatsu is getting a dub. That series was really enjoyable and well done even if it kinda botched the ending. Kinda gives me hope to get in the future a dub for Joran: the princess of Snow and blood (which I LOVED to bits, even if it was pretty much ignored by most anime fans).

I had honestly completely forgotten Magatsu was even an anime, but that's a solid cast.

Also the cast and staff for Vanitas looks great. I'm interested to see how Zeno plays his character because I think this would be a first for him.

The Case Study of Vanitas english cast is pretty run of the mill but I'll probably check the first dub episode out at the very least.

Vanitas has been one of my favorite shows this season and I’m glad to see Funimation is mostly done catching up and back to a regular simulcast schedule.
