I'm not familiar with Obata outside of what he's done with Ohba, this seems interesting though so I might read it

Obata also did Hikaru no Go with Yumi Hotta, which was charming and fun. This sounds very appealing

This is really interesting to me, if only just because I really like Obata’s art but despise Ohba’s writing.

Pretty much this. Death Note and Bakuman were exciting and interesting when I was younger and didn't really notice how the female characters were written(But is more glaringly obvious in the more recent Platinum End). They clearly are the most successful/make the most money when working together, but I'm excited to see more of what Obata makes while working with others. |
