Are you sure you have the right graphic paired with the article?
They look more like idols than hockey players...

They are not idols but it's fun to see them cosplaying idols, you know with the Love Live look and all. I wonder when that idol basketball game will be adapted into anime though.

Unless it's an adaptation/resurrection of a legacy property from decades ago, it seems like all modern sports anime have to have some kind of sex appeal. If it's intended for men/women, the girls/guys have to be pretty - even if that means looking a way no one who plays that sport would.

If this hockey anime was aimed at the fujo market, I doubt the guys would be bulky, have shiners and missing teeth. Laughing

The outfits look more suitable for figure skating than ice hockey, but I'm still interested. It's not like hockey anime is everywhere.
