I think this is the second or third year in a row that its won. Shouldn't be that much of a surprise since the voters are probably older comic book readers, but still nice (even if the manga has gone down in quality compared to the excellent run it had during volumes 6 through 14).

I can't imagine the prison arc will go on for too much longer. (Hasn't it already finished in Japan around volume aroune volume nineteen or twenty?) Once Samura starts to get back on track instead of "indulging in his interests" (that's how I see) I'd imagine that Blade of the Immortal shall return to its former glory. Still, the current arc is better than most of what's published in English, so I'm not complaining too much. |
