That labor violation story on Blizzard reads like an Onion meme.

I also assume this isn’t a good time to mention that the Diablo 2 remaster is presently experiencing…problems.

This might've dropped after the article was submitted but XSeed put out this nice little update on Rune Factory 5 getting same-sex marriage: https://www.xseedgames.com/2021/09/23/rune-factory-5-localization-blog-2/

I know Nintendo Direct coverage is being saved for next week but since they got mentioned...

- We FINALLY got a look at Bayonetta 3! Love her new look; I was concerned because for me her Bayo2 design is a tough one to top.

- I am unreasonably excited for the new Kirby game.

Quote:
Taiwan's rating board has detailed a Castlevania Advance collection, containing Circle of the Moon, Harmony of Dissonance, and Aria of Sorrow… and also the really lousy SNES port of Dracula X for some reason. Guess they want to add “value” to the set, or something.

This actually got both officially announced and shadow dropped during the Direct. Good times! Also, for me the collection is worth it just for Circle of the Moon alone.

In other news, Activision-Blizzard continues to prove it is run by terrible people, so I hope gamers stop giving them money. I know, I know..."But Diablo 2: Ressurected..."

I didn't know that the Dragon Maid game was getting an English version. Consider me intrigued.

- At least we got the date for the annoucement for the final Smash character, that way people can get more confortable to prepare to be dissapointed... just kidding I'm happy with all the characters added this far, I don't think there was a bad character in the DLC line, so even if they added another Fire Emblem character it would be a great choice just to see the fanbase reaction
- Bayonetta 3 looks fun, the trailer caught me off guard, at first I thought it was something related to Megami Tensei V, then Astral Chain but when Bayonetta appeard it was incredible, I thought the game was going to be delayed until 2023. The graphics look fine for the Switch but I think there's room for improvement, however I don't like Bayonetta's new look I wish they could retained her look from 2
- The GBA Castlevania games are pretty good, with Aria of Sorrow being one of the best game in the series. Dracula X's inclusion is somewhat of of a nice bonus, it's not Rondo of Blood but it's a fun game although very hard, but at least with the rewing and save features it's going to be less frustrating. But I still find it weird that Konami hasn't ported the collection which included Symphony of the Night and Rondo of Blood to the Switch, is there a good reason why they didn't do it?

They really went the extra mile on that, even adding new same sex marriage cutscenes. I hope the fanbase are excited for the extra option. I dread this news finding its way to certain parts of the internet and the reaction it would have from people who never even heard of Rune Factory.

Too late, the ill corners of the internet have found it.

Anyway, the Direct was full of great stuff, though Bayonetta 3 and the Mario movie cast were the big ones (Anya Taylor-Joy as Peach is...interesting) but there were a lot of small ones too. I was surprised to see a KOTOR remaster as well as the Shadowrun Collection (which I never thought was going to ever see a console release, let alone on the Switch). The NSO N64 stuff was expected, but I thought we'd get Game Boy, not the Genesis. Not complaining though. Now to just wait for the internet to lose its mind when the final Smash character is revealed.

-Acti-Blizz: Burn it to the ground and salt the earth it stood upon. Seriously, it's over, these chuckleheads can either leave of their own will or be forced out. Their choice.

I haven't picked up a Rune Factory since the first one, but I might actually pick up this one after getting that news! XSEED really went the extra mile for this, and I want to show them that it's appreciated, even if I'm still drowning under the dozens of other games I have yet to play.

If you mean the Japanese fanbase, I saw a lot of ire yesterday when this news broke. They're accusing Hakama of pandering to Americans over the Japanese fanbase. I've seen a lot of complaints that they focused development time on something like this rather than fixing the performance/framerate issue of the game, or adding in new content to the existing events which felt a bit barren, and not fixing the "bug" of not being able to date Elshe (it's not really a bug, a lot of fans are just upset Elshe isn't datable since she's the most popular girl so it's a bit of a gag/meme)

I am also super excited for the Miss Kobayashi's Maid Dragon game to be released, although I can't understand why the X-Box and PC (i.e. Steam or other) are being deliberately left out. Also, in case anyone was interested, on the official website for that game, under genre it says the following 飛んで、撃って、殴って、超!爽快シューティング, which, roughly translated, means "Play, shoot, hit, Super! Exhilarating Shooting," so Heidi's description is probably accurate.

It ran perfect for me...since I play offline. Can't be as bad as Diablo 3's launch, that was legendary. Laughing

Offline was fine it was the online portion of the game that apparently was having problems (I think) and then I stumbled on some news that the game was going into maintenance (and which I didn’t read at the time) which I thought was somewhat unusual being the game was just released.

But yeah Diablo 3’s early existence was….not good.
