Sounds like a pretty poignant work.

About half of the 10-minute short is now available to watch worldwide for free legally (if very compressed and with bugs on it) as part of an episode of NHK WORLD–JAPAN's Anime Supernova about Yano.

Earlier shorts by her can be seen in full and in much higher video quality on her Vimeo account. I hope the full version of "A Bite of Bone" will one day not too far away be available on there, too, and for a reasonable price if it's to rent or buy. But as with features, the journeys of shorts on the festival circuit can still last 2–3 years, and indie animators like to hold off making them available online permanently while they're still playing in any festivals (to give the later some degree of exclusivity, which some require but for others it's just a courtesy).

It's now available in full worldwide in both Cardiff Animation Festival, on a pay-what-you-can basis, and GLAS Animation Festival.
