The trailer looks much better then the first one. The rain actually has depth to it.

Many of the shots in this trailer are missing every fourth frame, which makes it very hard to watch. I would hope that final release won't be like that, because that's sloppy. I can't imagine it being a stylistic choice (it's inconsistent) or to save on animation budget (it's not animation on the 3's or 2's, it's animation on the 1's with every fourth frame skipped, in some shots).

The CG looks...serviceable. Hopefully the story is up to snuff.

I'm curious on who's getting the rights to the series in Asia. What's barring Crunchyroll to get the rights to most series in Asia?

Probably Muse Asia. The previous Crunchyroll original anime license in Asia is taken by them.

East Asia and Southeast Asia are entirely different markets from their Western counterparts. They need different approaches to enter the market. Compared to Western licensors that often modify content to be more suitable for their region, SEA and East Asia licensors provide no modification or double version for each country. For example, Indonesian fans get both English and Indonesian version for each seasonal anime. English version with standard as-is with no modification, and Indonesian version with little play in their subtitle.

You can see this also happens in the English Asia game release. Western usually modified things to be more politically correct, while the English Asia version is just translated original. There's no way to cater to one demographic when the region has a vastly different culture. Malaysia and Indonesia are Muslim majority, Thailand and Vietnam with Buddhist majority, the Philippines with a Catholic majority, and there's India as well.

Not to forget that because piracy is so prevalent in Southeast Asia, anime licensors often decide to put their anime legally for free on YouTube. Ani-One and Muse Asia are the ones who do this for Hong Kong, Taiwan, Southeast Asia, and South Asia.

Other than Ani-One and Muse Asia, there are also IMMG, Odex, Purple Plan, and more.

Those licensors also usually have a different catalog of anime from Western, like Doraemon, Detective Conan, and Crayon Shinchan.

Also, lately, fans in the region tend to prefer local distributors and streaming services to avoid "Western politics". Netflix is the only one that succeeded with its culturally neutral approach.

iQiyi and Bilibili are the ones who currently aggressively enter that market.
A lot of anime on those platforms has more than five subtitles, usually English, Chinese (Trad), Chinese (Simplified), Indonesian, and Thai.
