Now that Netflix acquired Sailor Moon Eternal, JoJo: Stone Ocean, and Tiger & Bunny Season 2, this all hints that Viz Media is moving away from licensing anime and just resuming to just license manga instead, regardless if they would license the occasional new series, new season or sequel series of an existing anime series they previously licensed (e.g. Yashahime, Boruto, Bleach Thousand-Year Blood war anime).

Still, I'm actually surprised that Netflix got Tiger & Bunny Season 2 as the surprise Anime announcement since the majority expected either Chainsaw Man or SpyxFamily to be the ones Netflix licenses but I'll happily take Tiger & Bunny Season 2 since I'm a huge fan of the show.

The biggest question I'm curious about is if Studiopolis would be used again like the first season or Netflix would pull a "Sailor Moon Eternal" and a "Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress: The Battle of Unato" and have Season 2 of Tiger & Bunny be dubbed at another studio instead (e.g. SDI Media, VSI Los Angeles)? Because I notice that out of all the LA recording studios Netflix uses for their anime titles, such as SDI Media, Bang Zoom!, VSI Los Angeles, NYAV Post, and Studiopolis, they hardly send some of their anime titles to the latter studio due to the expensive cost and recording schedule, along with Netflix prefer using the former three studios (e.g. SDI Media, Bang Zoom!, VSI Los Angeles). Still, I do wish Netflix does utilize Studiopolis as often for some of their future anime titles considering the ONLY Netflix anime titles that Studiopolis dubbed have been: Baki, Ultraman, Dino Girl Gauko, Pacific Rim: The Black, and Baki Hanma.

So that explains why Netflix uploaded the first season in various territories early this year and why the show was dubbed in various languages just now.
I hope that the Neutral Spanish dub cast remains intact, though sadly Agnes voice actress passed away some months ago.

It may have just been that Netflix out-bided them or got involved at an easier stage before anyone could license the title.

Netflix also recently dubbed JoJo's in Brazilian Portuguese (and Thai, surprisingly) from 1st season onwards even before they announced the license of the most recent season. So yeah, those acquisitions were expected outside English-speaking countries.

There's also a leaked LA Spanish dub for Golden Wind, very probably produced by Netflix too.

So Tiger and Bunny without all the product replacement Razz?

Although in all seriousness, I'm glad it found a home and it's good to know it'll be another 2-cour, if split up. Hopefully they have a good story to tell even if I'm just happy to have the cast back. Kotetsu and Barnaby look as dapper as ever.

Also with Netflix, given they go for Union dubs, it seems like there's a good chance they'll get back the original English cast. Maybe even Travis and Laura?

Even the same can be said when Netflix out-bided Viz Media for JoJo's Stone Ocean and Sailor Moon Eternal and especially when Netflix out-bidded Funimation and/or Crunchyroll when they acquired Shaman King 2021, Edens Zero, Komi Can't Communicate, and Blue Period, and also vice-versa (e.g. Prime Video getting the Rebuild Evangelion films including 3.0+1.0 over Netflix; Funimation and/or Crunchyroll possibly licensing SpyxFamily and Chainsaw Man).

Also, since Netflix didn't license SpyxFamily and Chainsaw Man during the Anime day event, it seems that there is a good chance that either Crunchyroll or Funimation may license those two shows instead of Netflix during the Anime NYC event next week.

No doubt this would be Union considering Netflix has been doing Union dubs since 2018 and later 2019 with the SAG-AFTRA deal. The biggest thing I remain cautiously skeptical is if Netflix would use Studiopolis just like the first season (and it's films) or Netflix pulls a "Sailor Moon Eternal" and a "Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress: The Battle of Unato" and have Season 2 of Tiger & Bunny be dubbed at another studio instead (e.g. SDI Media, VSI Los Angeles)? Because I notice that out of all the LA recording studios Netflix uses for their anime titles: SDI Media, Bang Zoom!, VSI Los Angeles, NYAV Post, and Studiopolis, they hardly send some of their anime titles to the latter studio due to the expensive cost and recording schedule (due to the Crunchyroll titles and Western Animation shows), along with Netflix preferring to use the former three studios (e.g. SDI Media, Bang Zoom!, VSI Los Angeles).

I do wish Netflix does utilize Studiopolis as often for some of their future anime titles including Tiger & Bunny Season 2, considering the ONLY Netflix anime titles that were dubbed at Studiopolis have been: Baki, Ultraman, Dino Girl Gauko, Pacific Rim: The Black, and Baki Hanma.

The thing about Golden Wind's LA Spanish dub is that it's still unavailable in Spanish speakeing regions (there's the European Spanish dub, but that's another thing)

I expected no less than 25-26. I don't even want to wait another 10 years for T&B to return. Just handle the obvious plot that needs to be told in this season and end it. Well, I guess a post story sequel movie wouldn't immediately afterward wouldn't hurt.
