-Jump Force: OOF, talk about a mercy kill. That game just never stood a chance between the ugly art style, the hilariously bad story mode, and the clunky gameplay. The Arena Fighter really needs a page one rewrite

As for The Hype Market-er, Game Awards, I'm largely in agreement that there should be no NFTs and Acti-Blizz should be completely absent. If they have one trailer there, then guys like Keighley should just piss off, because excusing that behavior so you can get a trailer to sell your tepid show is vile.

As for what I want, what I want is for the show to be about games and not a bunch of trailers. I'm not expecting anything more than meme material

- KOF XV: Whip is a nice addition, I can see her alongside K' so maybe Maxima is coming next, but I think it's kind of weird that Kim hasn't been announced yet, I hope he isn't a DLC since he's one of my favourite SNK characters.
- Jump Force: I've played it a bit with my friends but unlike them I couldn't get into it, I'm not a fan of arena fighters, I'm more of a 2D Fighting Game fan and ocasionally some Tekken and Soul. I wish the next Jump crossover could be better than Force.
- Fighting games: I miss the old days when companies like Capcom and SNK would work on various fighting games but these days it seems companies can only focus on two game series SNK with KOF and Samurai Shodown, Namco with Tekken and Soul, etc. I'd love to see a new Fatal Fury, Darkstalkers, Bloody Roar and the like, but it seems modern game development makes it unfeasible for companies to work on various titles, sales are another factor as well.
- JRPGs: what I said above about fighting games also aply to JRPGs, during the SNES, PSOne/2 and portable console era there were a lot of games in the genre but these days production values have to be a lot higher to attract gamers and not all developers have the manpower to make a high-budget JRPG, unless you are Pokémon then it seems that even if your game looks primitive even on the Switch's hardware you can sell over 20 million copies.

but it does also feel like Tekken 7 is getting a bit long in the tooth,

That’s because it is. Location test for the arcade version of the game happened in Japan all the way back in 2014 was officially released the following year. Console versions of the game dropped in 2017.

That’s 6/7 years this game has been in existence.

Perhaps we could see the return of more dormant series? Skies of Arcadia, Grandia, Lunar, Lufia, Breath of Fire… there's so much out there that could be revisited with a fresh new take.

Wasn't there a bunch of Square Enix stuff in the infamous Nvidia leak, including a Chrono Cross HD remaster?

As for me, with Valkyria Chronicles 4 doing decent if not blockbuster sales*, I'd like to see Sega right the wrongs of the past and liberate II and III from the PSP. Ideally, they'd do full on remakes for modern consoles, removing the tiny multi-part maps and other concessions made to the PSP's limitations, since the full VC4 experience runs just fine on a Switch. Maybe this would also be an opportunity to renumber those two entries with Arabic numerals (i.e., "Valkyria Chronicles 2", et. al.), bringing them in line with VC4.

Ah Jump Force. What could have been, but ultimately was not. On the other hand, I love MvC Infinite.

JRPGs...
Skies of Arcadia was a fun game, but it is technically not a series.
I'd like to see something on the next installment of FF7R.
I'd love to see FF6R; a remake of FFVI, only with voices, full 3D graphics, etc. Heck, Squeenix has the 3D models for Terra and Celes in FFBE.
I'm expecting something for Persona. SMT5 is out, and P5R is two years past and P5S is not much newer. Persona 6, or even just Persona 5 Arena. Or maybe a 3+4 crossover RPG built on Arena's story.

I just seethe every time The Game Show awards come around. I hate the sight of Geoff Kighly. He's everything I hate about AAA games condensed into a person: self-congratulatory, no sense of memory past the last six months, and utterly obsessed with how they're perceived as opposed to their character. And I hate that gamers joke about how dumb the Game Show Awards are but pay attention to it anyway because "lol dorito pope".

Another Darkstalkers game is most likely never going to happen because the series doesn't make any money. When it comes to fighting games they only make bank on Street Fighter and crossover games.

Personally I'd just like to see Demitri with Midnight Bliss in a modern day crossover at this point.

Other than VC5, a remake of 2 & 3 would be the next best thing

Considering that Sega already has scripts, soundtracks, and voice recordings (JP and EN for 2, JP only for 3), I would argue the remake is more practical and thus more likely.

No mention of suikoden when talking about reviving series. I'd also like to see remakes of xenogears and saga.

But I guess we are at least getting a suikiden spiritual successor.
