I am not a big fan of Leadale, but it might help to understand the storyline if the reviewer had some knowledge of the light novels. This was reviewed in 2020 in ANN so it was written early in the Isekai era. The books show their age now.

The cover art work on the light novel, really didn't interest me, Nor did the story byline.

But the story mentioned here brings things much better in focus. With the glut of isekai novels, it is hard to weed thru them for what interests you.

I'd be willing to give this anime a chance viewing.
