I wonder where that description came from (I am aware that this is how Yen Press first described the series).

ANN used the exact same incorrect synopsis for the article about the 2nd cour teaser trailer. They corrected it for this article after I pointed out the error but now it's back again. Seriously, where do they get this synopsis? I can't find it anywhere.

I'm curious to see how they expand Giad. I imagine it'll be a prequel set in the past and during maybe the rebellion and the beginning of the new government. Will we meet Grethe's dead husband?

If you're talking about the synopsis that was in this article, you can see the comment above yours to see where we got it from. Yen Press used that synopsis originally when it licensed the light novels, and we have used that synopsis in our articles about the franchise ever since. Yen Press obviously updated the synopsis at some point but did not inform us of the change, so we've been using the old one. As you said we did correct one article when you pointed it out in the comment threads. Please note though that ANN's newsroom staff do not regularly check comment threads, and the best way to reach us about a correction is via email.

In any case, I've gone back through basically every single article we've written about 86 and changed the synopsis to reflect the updated one, so this shouldn't happen again.
