Now that Crunchyroll basically has everything, I'm curious how they'll dub everything, including returning shows...like, a balance between Texas and LA dubs? Will they announce all the dubs en masse?

One thing I liked about Funimation is they usually announce the air dates ahead of time, which Crunchy doesn't seem to do usually, so I guess I'll have to wait the day of.

Not seeing my most anticipated show (Heroine Tarumono), but I assume it's one of the many, many TBA slots.

Also I had no clue Salaryman's Club got a dub!? I guess the announcement must have been quiet and ANN never reported it. It's sad that it seems to be cursed to languish in obscurity with the late start, delay due to World Trigger, it hasn't even shown up on the weekly rankings.

I'm disappointed that Sentai didn't get the Grimoire of Zero spin off since they had the original show but I hope they'll have the dub voice actors for the characters that were in the original for this assuming this gets dubbed.

It was never officially announced, not even by Crunchyroll. They just released the first episode and apparently forgot to make an announcement about it or just assumed that the word would spread I guess.

I wonder are most these new animes like SpyXFamily will be a premium only instead free like most animes on CR?

Not the point but I'm hung up on "The purchase price was US$1.175 billion, and the proceeds were paid in cash at closing." (I did more math than I needed to here)

Assuming that they used hundred-dollar bills, that pile of money would be about the same weight as a school bus. That's a little more than 400 cubic feet and would fill a space 5 feet high, 8 feet wide and 10 feet long.

.... .... ..... We've come so far as a market.

Assuming they get one of the Funi studios to do it, it would probably be simple enough to get the returning characters' VA's back. Especially AmaLee.

Maybe they won't do everything, maybe just returning shows and a select few others.

Most Crunchyroll shows in the past and for this season the dubs usually come out six episodes after the sub starts airing so the dubs will probably be out like a month and a half from now.

"In cash" doesn't mean literal suitcases of money. It means it was paid all $1.175 billion in legal tender, likely just various bank transfers, instead of things like stocks, ownership of other companies, property, etc.

Yeah, but now they have Funimation as a dubbing studio and have had them start dubbing shows (Kuroitsu, the salary man badminton anime).

So I assume Funi will probably dub whatever Crunchyroll doesn't or doesn't use their LA studios for.

I'm looking forward to Ascendance of a Bookworm: Part III, Dance Dance Danseur and Mahjong Soul Pon. And of course, more Delicious Party Pretty Cure!

Still no news on Healer Girl and To Be Heroine, which are the other titles I want to watch this season. I also hope Crunchyroll picks up Idol Land PriPara even though I'm nowhere near finished with all the other PriParas (I say this because CR has Idol Time).

On one hand, it's nice to have so much in one place and to pay less overall (for now), but on the other hand seeing "Crunchyroll has announced they are streaming the entire Spring 2022 season" is a little... boring?
