I wonder who will wind up with the simulcasting rights this time around. According to the ANN Encyclopedia, Season 1 was Crunchyroll, Season 2 was Hidive, Season 3 was Crunchyroll again, & then Sword Oratoria was freaking Anime Strike/Amazon! Today, Hidive has everything (including the OVAs), while Crunchyroll only has Seasons 1-3, so this might be the first real bit of actual competition between Crunchyroll & Hidive, now that they're the only remaining anime-focused streaming services around.

Hidive will most likely have the rights if not the disc rights at least. And while they focus on old stuff RetroCrush they are still a Anime focus streaming service.

Seeing that Crunchyroll will be losing what they have of DanMachi soon, I’m guessing that they won’t be getting season 4.

The what now? Is that why we haven't gotten a sequel to the Goblin Slayer anime?

Yeah this is news to me too. Besides the Red states banning a bunch of books because of stupid reasons (Although Goblin Slayer should not be read by anyone under 16, maybe even 18) I've not heard of anything else. Wasn't the Movie supposed to come out some time this year?

Goblin slayer mobage already got cancelled, the movie didn't seem to do that well, i barely see any new figures on it.

So it doesnt look like goblin slayer may get a season 3. Shame since i enjoyed the series. Also historically animes with a high amount of ecchi like to love ru (sort of), dxd, hxeros, face trouble getting later seasons, since bannings hurt bottom lines.

The movie came out years ago. I don't think it did well but the events are still canon to the story. The real problem with it was that a good chunk of the run time was used as a flashback of the TV series meaning a good 25 mins that could have been used for the actual movie. Like the guy above me said, season 2 has been confirmed for months now but there hasn't been anymore news aside from that.

Some people seem to be forgetting that Sentai apparently wants to consolidate all their licenses into HIDIVE based on all their shows leaving Crunchyroll. I seriously doubt CR is streaming Danmachi IV. Unless of course Crunchyroll decides to get the master license and royaly screw Sentai.

Ok, haven;t read the link u posted but a season 2 was announced and no air date for when it'll air given. (And we almost NEVER get confirmation on a S3 or more till AFTER the 2nd season has finished airing, or later after its done airing)

I don't follow manga so no idea on that but from what i gather u'r just using the word ban when there isn't actually any kind of ban going on. DxD is one of the more well known and fan fav animes out there (I q that these days, imo it got worse in S3 and even the fixes they did later didn't make it better, also didn't like the change in art style) and like anything, it takes time, money and getting through red tape and convincing whomever to make ur anime happen (I don't just mean the ones making it but the oens who give the OK to let an anime studio make it), not to mention it takes time (sometimes YEARS!) for TV stations to air the anime cus they're already booked for years on almost every time slot (And this also means shelling out more money to get ur anime out sooner than later) so the point am getting at is, there ain't any bannings and the long wait time is normal, heck, often enough anime won't get a sequel for 3, sometimes more years. So, if am mistaken then where is this banning thing u mentioned coming from? Becus so far all i can tell is, this is the norm and nothing is actually banned. (Besides a single mobile game getting can'd which ain't bannning and is just a thing that can happen)
