It's really disgusting that Toei would let such thing to go on. All of this is making me happy when i found out last week that Toei got hacked and i hope that the studio is shut down for good. Also i hope that production assistant wins her case.

While Toei Animation are no angels themselves, this particular situation has nothing to do with them. This involves their parent company.

Also while Toei Animation had their ransomware attack affecting everything that was airing (and the Dragon Ball Super movie's original premiere date), main Toei's shows were not affected since both Donbrothers & Kamen Rider Revice were still airing the entire time.

So you’d rather have people who aren’t a part of this to lose their jobs rather than have a restructuring at Toei by getting rid of the people causing the issues and bring in people who aren’t horrible to replace them

So a couple points, if I'm not mistaken. And please correct me if I'm wrong. First, this was to do with Toei, the parent company of Toei Animation. We don't know if the individuals or incidents in question are fully pervasive, as in uniformly across the organization or specific to one arm of Toei, etc.?

Second, this is a non-binding recommendation. Toei has no time-table they must adhere to, no checks by the court or administrative body to ensure the recommendations are put in place, no predetermined penalties if they fail to comply?

To me this is a major ball drop. It's tantamount to a slap on the wrist if Toei has no requirement to follow through. Perhaps the phrasing of it as "recommendations" implies it's less than what it really is, but at the moment I feel like Toei isn't sufficiently being held accountable. It's like mom and dad bust their kid for not doing their homework, tell their kid "do your homework and no partying" before going away on a week-long vacation with no supervision for the kid, and then act surprised when they find that the kid didn't do a bunch of homework and was partying all week.

I think this is exactly it. This is not the first time Toei's malpractices comes into light. As long as the money keeps coming in, who cares about 13-hour work days?
