Renton should never have been killed off. Dewey is still alive of all people.

I have no interest in seeing this because from everything I've heard it's just another Eureka 7 movie that screws over the fans but looks gorgeous, but at least it's getting an official release.

Now please let this franchise rest in peace.

Just who is actually going to bother with this film? The fans of the franchise know that everything related to it has been various levels of garbage since the original series. This synopsis sounds absolutely unrecognizable...it's like most of the staff who worked on the original have absolutely no idea why it was so beloved in the first place.

Of all the anime films to get an official release over here, this? This whole movie trilogy has been nothing but a mess on all levels, from its plot to its distribution. Even most of the Eureka fanbase has abandoned it. Crunchyroll, why?

Because it is anime. Why wouldn't Crunchyroll have it. As with Yashahime, there are probably new fans that haven't seen the original series and don't care about, but love these movies.

I still don't get why people get so pissed about the Movies, it's not like Eureka Seven was some sort of masterpiece. It was way over long and the two main leads would be criticised in any other show for being underwritten and played out.

I say take it and rewrite it all you want again. Do a complete TV remake, but with 26 episodes, so you can trim all the fat. Keep some of the better written characters, Holland and Talho, intact, but rewrite the two leads to be actually interesting,
