the concert was horrible
the wait was too long and the songs mediocre
the didn't even play an entire set
worst concert at AX
at least it was free but if i had to pay for tickets i would have been so pissed

only good part was Yoshiki, he played amazingly and when he jumped on the piano i was amazed but it didn't make up for the rest of this awfulness of this concert

Crowd seemed to love it from where I was. I wasn't a fan of any of the members before going to the concert, despite being aware of their existence and popularity, but after the concert, I was truly converted. They really got the crowd going to the point where even though it was rather repetitious and too short and they didn't perform enough songs, I don't think most of us cared or even realized it until later, if at all. Imho, it was time and money well spent.

The delays sucked (so did the excessive "We are...S.K.I.N.!" nonsense), I will admit that. But that has nothing to do with the quality of the concert itself. S.K.I.N.'s performance was amazing, period. I would've loved to hear more songs, but you have to understand what this performance was. They have seven songs roughly recorded, no albums or singles released or even annuonced, and this was their first live. This was a preview of the band that people should be happy they were able to experience.

I've read a handful of concert reports and this is the first one I've seen that was so negative. I would recommend looking into some other reports before forming a decision about the concert. Tokidokijournal.com has a live report posted as well, so check that out (I've seen others around too).

S.K.I.N concert was the greatest thing that happened at AX this year, I would wait in a long line all over again for their concert. Even though it would cost me badly sun-burned xD Laughing

They truly is the super-band, the fact that the delay schedule has to do with thousands of people wanted to get inside the concert hall.

I only felt bad for people who paid for their premier tickets and still have to get in line.

Anyway, I completely disagree with the tone of the review. If you want a more accurate review, check the website in my profile, or search online and read some other concert reports.

It was definitely worth it for me.
My two friends and I were handed general admission tickets upon walking out of the dealer's room at approximately 5:30. We waited 20 minutes to see the J-rock concert of the century. It was damned awesome. Definitely the highlight of my Anime Expo trip this year. GET BACK!

I waited in the line for the badge and when it was about 11 AM, I got into the line. I waited in the line for a real long time and got nearly the front of the concert. Was it worth it? If you are a real fan of them or a dire love of a few of them, yes. However, if you were there for the amusement, then not really. Anyways, I was a fan of all of them and I say that I enjoyed it.

The reasons why the concert too so long was a combination of factors:
>Several heat strokes (come on, waiting out on the hot sun?)
>Reported concert technical difficulties
>People saving spots for friends
>Premier ticket didn't get you to the front seats, just a ticket; people were complaining about that.
>Security regulation
>Too many people

Even though it was terrible waiting for it, but the fans enjoyed it. Anyone else would of thought otherwise. I can't wait until they "get back" another concert in LA!!

Lol, okay, I guess it wasn't just me that felt it. As I was reading the review, I was thinking, okay this person obviously doesn't care for Gackt, etc in general. I don't know how the reviewer looks, but I could almost imagine that person rolling their eyes in disdain as they were writing the piece. If I didn't go to the concert and I just based my knowledge of the concert on that review, I'd think the concert sucked too. I don't think a crazed fan should write the review, but couldn't they have gotten someone more neutral?

Not to mention, he got the first fact wrong...the tickets only cost $50...where'd he get $75 from?

Registration was required for tickets: $25 for Friday, more if you wanted to stay for the rest of the convention.

No offense but those of you swooning over this show confuse me.

They made you wait 3 hours and then played 3 songs, one of them twice. Most of the show was the band screaming their own name.

Where I come from that's grounds to tear the place apart and knock over the band's tour bus. Maybe you guys just don't go to a lot of shows but a proper concert has at least an hour set and an encore.

Maybe that's what's so amazing about the band and its performers...most people didn't even realize the stats of the concert because they were so caught up in the mood created by S.K.I.N. The wait was a pain in the ass...I have the peeling sunburns to prove it, but as someone who really could not have cared less about Gackt, Miyavi, Sugizo, and Yoshiki prior to this concert, I have to say they made the wait worth it by putting on a very charismatic and electrifying performance. I mean, now that I think about it, I believe we waited about just the same amount of time for the SOS Brigade Tour and oh my God, talk about the difference in quality. Is there a more drastic metaphor than day and night? because that would definitely apply here.
