I was watching the latest ep with the other half. When Aoi is confronted with another girl at her school saying she hasn't won the high school tournament we said, "If I was her I'd say, 'I'm a world champion and going pro. I don't need that crap."

This show is fun to watch.

You gotta love Yousuke Kuroda, the man responsible for writing the shows containing my two domfus (Itsue Aasu from Puni Puni Poemy and Midnight from My Hero Academia) and one of my all-time favorite episodes (Gungrave #14).

Great article for a great show. It's my first potential 10/10 in a while. Such a relief that so far it's turned out to be free of the teen melodrama that dragged down Hanebado.

Bonus esoteric nostalgia points: I've never played golf in real life, but the show keeps taking me back to 1999's bizarre summer, when I was using the golf course design tools in the PC game Jack Nicklaus 5 to make and play insane courses.

I'm enjoying the show but I hate the drama around the orphan illegal immigrant sub plot. Even with the cops skimming off of them the amount of money they've been making they could have bought a home a long time ago. All they needed to do to keep the drama was by having her forced to continue the illegal golf games is the threat of being killed.

Pro Golfer Saru was the show my mind went to on first seeing this. It has a similar golfing bet set up, golf-based organised crime and ludicrous opponents (i.e. a giant basball player who golfs using a giant tee and a baseball bat).
