We still haven't even heard the Japanese voices in a trailer for the anime which hasn't been released but this manga became incredibly popular. I wonder how things will be once the manga returns and the anime adaptation is released.

For what is apparently a popular manga title, there hasn't been much talk about it. Guess without a anime behind it, it was able to creep up on us.

That’s organic popularity for you. Spy X Family pulled the same thing. As a general rule, any manga in the top 10 without an anime adaptation will probably get one within a year, like Kaiju No 8 is rumored to.

I think a big reason there isn't much talk is because it's been on a hiatus of sorts for more than a year. Chainsaw Man ended its run in the Weekly Shonen Jump magazine in December of 2020. However, it was announced there will be a second part of the manga that will run in Shonen Jump+ (an online manga magazine owned by the same company). It hasn't started yet, though, and we don't know when it'll happen, but the common speculation is that the second part will launch at about the same time as the anime starts airing.

The author did release some other manga stories in the meantime (namely two one-shots that are each of actual volume length), but there's been no real new Chainsaw Man content yet. Because there's no new chapters, there's not too much to discuss.
