It was a slow week, nothing big released. Also, since Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak is set to release digitally, we probably won't see any third party titles hit the top spot for some time to come.

I'd say it's amazing how they've managed to maintain such a large market dominance since the release of the Switch back in '17. The PS4 had a big presence but it declined very quickly after the Switch's release. In Japan the PS4 has sold almost 8 million units while the Switch has sold almost 25 million. But even then, it seems like the Japanese games market has shrunk, the weekly charts are almost dominated by first-party Nintendo titles, with few games from third-parties like Minecraft, Momotaro and MH, some third-party titles for the Switch have good starts but then disappear from the list very quickly, it seems like very few third-parties have managed to take advantage from the Switch instalbase, some big companies can survive with the success their games have abroad but smaller companies have suffered a decline in sales by not supporting the Switch.

Looks like if a company support the switch they are successful like disgaea 6, shin megami tensei 5, monster hunter rise.

I don't know what is the reason behind persona 5 available in PS3/4 but not the switch, utawaterumono games available on ps vita and ps4 but not switch (the next game will be ps4/5 exclusive) bandai namco games are only coming to switch years after the ps4 release like ni no kuni 2, god eater 3, and after sony california made impossible to release a game like senran kagura 7, only some spinoff released to switch (reflection and pinball) but not the main serie.

In the other way: i also don't understand why monster hunter rise and shin megami tensei 5 are not released to ps4, why just switch and pc in MH rise's case.

I guess one of the reasons why games such as Persona are not available on Switch or Xbox, may be because companies like Atlus have an exclusivity deal with Sony, although I've never seen evidence that there's one. I also heard that some developers just have a preference to develop for an specific hardware and if they develop games for other systems they could risk their relationship with their main client, like Falcom. I also heard that a developer from CyberConnect once mentioned that the Japanese market was everyone vs. Nintendo, that they cannot compete with their games even if they support their hardware so that's why they tend to favor Sony, other developers like Katsuhiro Harada from Namco or former SEGA CCO Toshigiro Nagoshi made claims that there ins't an audience for their games in Nintendo consoles, but that doesn't stop Namco from helping the development of Nintendo games like ARMS and Smash Bros.
