It's a great manga series that's sadly completely under the radar for many Western readers. Hope a lot of people learn to love it due to the anime.

I hope Jun Aoki (PTE, Gal & Dino) directs the series. I assume it will be short-form?

Anyways, it’s hilarious reading the salty comments from people who only read the action-heavy jump series. So much salt

I read through the first two volumes when the anime was leaked and while I didn't really like it, the target audience is very much 10 year old Japanese kids and not me. The anime could be more enjoyable with voice acting and comedic timing though.

PTE/Gal and Dino director would be a great fit, I agree

Would help if Viz actually printed it. The digital only release has a whopping 1 review on amazon kindle, and is at rank 1 million, which basically means it's selling probably less than a copy per day.

A lot of the jokes and references 10 year old kids wouldn't understand so the target audience definitely isn't just kids.

Surprising. But I must be one of the rare westerners over the age of 10 who love the manga, so I have something to look forward to.

Are they though? I remember most of the references being to other Jump manga (probably because it's easier to get permission). The only one I can think off the top of my head that kids wouldn't get is Bakuman because it's older

I'm behind on this series but I'm so happy to hear it finally is getting an anime. Such a fun little manga.
idk who the target audience is but consider me a 10 year old japanese kid, I guess.

It's the other way around though? The series isn't popular, therefore Viz won't print it. No reason to. If it was atleast doing well enough digitally I'm sure they would consider it (i.e. Yozakura Family).

Off the top of my head Rurouni Kenshin, Slam Dunk, Akagi, To Love Ru, Yu Yu Hakusho, and Kazuo Umezz's works. I suppose you could also say Hunter x Hunter since it is pretty old as well. I know there are more, but I would have to look through the series to be able to name them.

Me too! At the beginning I didn't catch the humour, but slowly I get used to it.

Besides, Shuhei Miyazaki is a better author than what you expect from a parody gag story. For example, he provided quite a few scares with his horror chapters (even in the first one). And also he goes the extra mile to mimic the artists he parodies.
Not to talk about how he boosted Roboco's Twitter account… while doubling Miura's Blue Box's followers, too with a chapter about how to boost up your Twitter account.

And beside all that, it's quite popular among young kids, a niche Shueisha will never forget.

P.s: he has also parodied Oshi no ko, not a kid series in many senses.

It'll likely be either a mini anime (one episode airing in a 5-15 minute timeslot), or half-hour episodes split up into 2 or 3 shorter segments.

Just curious, why didn't you like it? What elements gave you 10-year-old kid vibes?
