The way I see it, from this moment forward, any shows adapted from Shueisha's vast library (say, Shonen Jump) and/or animated by WIT Studio (CloverWorks is a given, I think?) will be distributed by Aniplex. Basically, they're forming a permanent production committee.... or alliance, as I call it, which will effectively block away (or at least, greatly hinder) other anime producers/distributors (Kadokawa, Toho, Warner, Pony Canyon, etc) from partnering with Shueisha and WIT Studio.

Am I getting the implications right?

I hope it's not just words
Anime cry
But Rather Serious Action and Commitment
Smile
Animators and Creators are the Backbone of this Industry
But majority of this fandom care less about the sacrifices made by them
Things must change whithin Japan
Or else things can go even more worse!!

Japan could loss the Softpower of the Anime if the Japanese Anime industry degrades

And Chinese government Twisted Evil and Chinese Companies are waiting for this to happen Exclamation

Now Kadokawa is only evil see anime production of their light/novels only as an Advertisement with Less Quality and More Quantity

This is probably true
It's also worth noting that Aniplex is the same company that's so tone-deaf to anime creator's needs that they willingly, very recently, let the staff for Wonder Egg Priority get hospitalized from overwork, scheduled Magia Record so terribly some of SHAFT's staff have called it possibly the most disastrous production in company history, and are responsible for 86's production meltdown (again, due to improper scheduling).

Which makes this whole thing about 'giving back to the creators' quite humorous knowing they're probably not going to change their ways at all.

A partnership of companies known for their poor management sounds like a brilliant idea, doesn't it. Well, it's not like these companies don't have prior business relationships - SxF is literally airing this season, just with Toho producing instead of Aniplex.

Simply put, they want to mix production companies in the upstream process. By involving the production company from the beginning, you can ensure their schedule.

Corporations co-opting labor discourse so that nothing has to actually change while establishing partnerships to keep the Mass Produced Popular Content going, isn't it beautiful (no it's not, don't fall for this ass garbage)

All they needed was MAPPA and they'd have the perfect overwork trifecta!

Yeah, that and The Promised Neverland Season 2 all came to mind. The studio blatantly takes way too much onto its plate and lets the staff (in particular the poor animators) suffer. I can’t see this changing things, unfortunately.

I hope it works out well for them. Studios seem to get shafted horribly in anime production.

You're forgetting Kyoto Animation. Those folks get paid an actual salary, not paid by the frame. They adopted a more Western style work environment and their body of work definitely shows that.

Yeah, this is exactly how I see what this really is. Not optimistic in terms of improving worker's condition or anything but at least this means CW and Wit might get some priority access, like Shueisha can go to them first before trying to contract an anime adaptation on the open market.
