Aside from a handful of isekai franchises (Re:Zero, Bookworm and Jobless Reincarnation), I am someone who sees the genre as a plague. Perhaps Netflix is going to help in getting rid of isekai.

Doubt it, as long as CR and Sentai license more or even if Disney+ tries.

I find it rather funny Netflix’s first attempt at an isekai is essentially a meta take on the concept, coming back from the other world and seeing how he works.

Nah, there isn't any "plot" besides the Uncle recalling his memories of traveling in the Isekai. It's just action/comedy/fanservice.
