It's Grammy, so giving something to a non-US composer outside of the international award most likely ain't happenning.

Like modern critics even care about the quality - just look at BAFTA game awards that ignore nearly all Japanese games, mostly in favor of Sony paychecks. And Grammy just wants some free watchers after a major blow in viewership that they got in recent years, so it's all nothing but a PR stunt.

PR stunt or no the video game industry getting acknowledgement by the Grammys is still a big deal regardless of whether the composers are based in or outside of Japan.

Yoko Taro needs to be on stage with his helmet beside a reunited Daft Punk.
