That seems a little bit short. Eight (8) volumes seems to early for an end to wrap everything up, unless it ends on a Deus Ex Machina.

English volume 5 ends with the spoiler[destruction of Soukai Nation, the capture of its Princess, and the execution of her hero and fiance.]

So it is hard to see an ending that wraps everything up that soon.
