Of course politicians use every bit they can in order to divide and obtain votes. No one said in the japanese news that the attacker was a leftis or rightist, but hey free publicity. I really hate that there is a far right/far left in politics, why does it have to be just one or the other?
Sorry for this little rant but once I saw that he used photos of Kojima I just.... I'm trying to imagine how he found those images, like did he google search "japanese man 40 years far left"? It baffles me how this could be an accident Edit: the fact that he used this type of propaganda for his benefit after the tragic death of Shinzo Abe is repulsive, you can hate a politician, his movement and his views but at the end of the day it's a life, a tragedy and taking advantage of this situation just sickens me |

It wouldn't be hard to imagine a Hideo Kojima game where the Prime Minister of Japan is assassinated, and it turns out in a twist at the end, that it was actually Hideo Kojima.

I've seen plenty of people saying the shooter was far-right as well by basis of him having served 3 years in the Japan's Maritime Self-Defense Force, as only far-right people join the military apparently. Everyone uses national tragedies for their own political gain all the time and will continue to do so. |

I saw Kojima trending on Twitter earlier today, and was baffled when I found out why. Fact-checking literally takes a few minutes, yet people can't even be bothered to do that.

I caught word of Abe's assassination off of Google News today and felt discernibly saddened by the tragedy. I'm glad, however, that I checked Google News before ANN because I can now enjoy this post's absurd hilarity (or hilarious absurdity? whichever) with a clean conscience.
