So it's not a Corman Fantastic Four? Either that, or it cost more money than they could afford to to bury. Anyway, if it helps, I'm still waiting for the teaser for Black Panther 2 and this film: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Samaritan_(2022_film)

I got into Saint Seiya again just recently and I'm watching Soul of Gold now. I have no idea what to expect from this film, but for now I'm actually kind of excited.

For whatever reason, they have the Shang-Chi stunt team on this, which means the fights should look good. There's that and the inevitable Sean Bean joke. I can't think of much else this has going for it.

is this legit? im still havng trouble believing that they're getting such a heavy cast for a live action adaptation of a Japanese manga that's full of supernatural scifi stuff. i can only imagine this being really cringey honestly.

This is the same Sony that is so directionless that their CinemaCon presentation was Spider-Man Z listers so they don’t lose the license back to Marvel, and are the ones desperately trying to make a Robotech movie happen because they want a Star Wars equivalent.

It’s legit because Sony Pictures is, for lack of a better term, throwing everything at the wall to see what sticks.

I don't have high expectations but at least we'll probably get a good idea of what to expect from this adaption.

Live action anime/manga Adaptations never look too good to me. Films like DB Evolution did that to me. I guess I just prefer 2D. I hope it succeeds, but I won't be watching it.

This is about a manga featuring five japanese teenage boys defending a japanese teenage girl, right?
Just asking, because the casting confuses me a little bit.

Speaking of guys in shiny armors, people could accept Immortals (the one starring Henry Cavill) just fine. Now the question is, are they gonna ham it up with those flashy attacks? Wink

to be fair,Saori(stop with the Sienna crap and the other localized names, please,it's not gonna catch, especially with the audiences where the franchise is actually popular...) is Greek and was only adopted by a Japanese man(who hid her identity to avoid being hunted down by the Pope until she's old enough to fight back),thus the name.
Also the English dub of the CG series really tried hard to make you believe Seiya was the only Japanese in the cast(again, stop trying to make names like Nero and Magnus a thing,please...)

I think a site called ANIME News Network should stop writing news about live-action anything. Oh, and the only decent live-action adaptation of manga/anime still is Violence Hero Riki-Oh. Everything else sucks.
