It's one thing to unlock little CG renders of character models in a video game, that kind of bonus was fun in stuff like Mega Man X: Command Mission
You're doing it again, and I approve. Command Mission ranks pretty highly on my list of high-concept spinoffs, even if the dub has some really odd delivery in places that has stuck with me to this day. I'm afraid!

Boktai is one of those series I enjoyed reading about in Nintendo Power, but never actually got a chance to experience (outside of the Battle Network side of the crossovers). Glad it's one of those projects Kojima still thinks about, even if he'll probably never work with Konami again.

Also cautiously excited for a new Kirby racer(?), even if it is another "free-to-start." (The food theme is adorable, but also makes me a little nauseous.) Kirby has almost as many weird alternative spinoffs as Mario (Star Stacker, Block Ball, Dream Course, Titl-N-Tumble, to name a few), but I suppose that's not something devs can get away with in today's economy without some kind of monetization gimmick. I'd love a remaster or sequel to Air Ride, though, especially with a modernized City Trial mode.

Umm....Guilty Gear Strive was remarkable because it was (iirc) ArcSys' first game with rollback. And by all accounts I've heard, and my personal experience, the online play is pretty excellent. Might not have been the example you meant to use.

Strive has rollback? Maximillian_Dood must've put the fear of Benny into 'em. Cool to know!

Hah, probably less that, and more GBF Vs nearly died on release from its lack of of good netcode. But yes, part of Strive's initial success and likely its current positive momentum, is that it has really well implemented rollback netcode. For all the questionable lobbies and the like, matches feel responsive.

Further, ArcSys has gone back to older games and redid their netcode- I've no personal experience with either, but my vague understanding is that Persona 4 Arena Ultimax and the most recent Blazblue both now have fully implemented rollback netcode, and have experienced a bit of resurgence because of that.

Week 2 and Jean-Karlo (guess I can't call you JK for short since that is owned by JK Simmons) has made another good article. *claps*

Quote:
Considering how Fate was able to make the jump from a Comiket visual novel with a strange predilection for shellfish to a multimedia giant with theatrical films and a world-famous mobile game, I'd always hoped Taimanin would also someday make the jump. I mean, it's easy enough: folks dig ninja chicks, it can't be too hard to just make a raunchy late-night anime, keep the exposed naughty bits for the Blu-ray release, and call it a day.

So Taimanin Zero needs to be made because Fate/Zero (anime) was the cause of what came after. I like your thinking, but does Taimanin really have to give up the coitus scenes like Fate did to achieve success? Unfortunately, we do not live in a worldline where a mainstream series can keep its coitus scenes and be successful. Also, the amount of times the staff fail at delivering the goods in the BD release has to be taken into account.

As for Kojima: Kojima also got nostalgic and tweeted that 35 years ago, he was 23. Crazy how long it's been since then and Death Stranding was recently his new non-Konami game. He's up there in age now and considering the length of game development has increased, I can only hope he can get at least 2 more bangers before he retires.

There were plenty of Battle Network crossovers

Yes. Crazy that it all started due to Kojima meeting Inafune at a karaoke bar for advice, but then again many (Japanese) games were made due to a bar. Sucks for the removed content. Will the content remain in the EXE Advanced Collection is the question.

Didn't they already use that title, though? For a PC eroge or something? I'm 99% sure I saw an ad for it somewhere.

-Dynamo Pictures: To be honest, I think people are really overblowing this. I can't see Nintendo making their own multimedia like films or shows outside of promotional shorts. I think it'll be more like Square-Enix's Visual Works than anything.

-Xenoblade 3: Good times.

In the meantime, I'm going to play Live A Live

People usually overreact whenever Nintendo announces something and with this acquisition I've seen people theorizing Nintendo is worried the Super Mario Bros. movie is in trouble and it's probably going to be a failure so they acquired their own animation studio in order to have full control, ignoring the fact that Nintendo nominated Illumination CEO, Chris Meledandri, as an outside director, and that the Mario movie got delayed so that it wouldn't compete with Avatar 2. Dynamo will probably assist in the development of CGI cutscenes and probably some promotional shorts for different games.

well that is what Lilith Soft is banking on. for its the reason why they have a YouTube channel and action taimanin exists.

they want the franchise to transition into a non hentai series just like FATE franchise but have the franchise uber ecchi in nature ala redo of healer or queens blade levels to keep the eroge community interested!

I'd have expected something like Queen's Blade long before I would have expected Black Lagoon, but oh well.

well considering that rei was a one time associated with the taimanin series and even did hentai artwork for their taimanin asagi battle arena mobile game, it doesn't really surprise any TA fan. though a collab in taimanin RPGX was a surprise for if lilith soft are really serious into making the series like another fate grand order, it would have made more sense to have the BL collab on action taimanin instead. hell , personally i would have hoped for a possible taimanin / dead or alive xtreme beach volleyball collaboration one day in the event they succeeded in transitioning the franchise the same way type moon did with fate stay night.
