I hope that Yuu-san will finish Byakko Senki soon! This story is incredible! Fushigu Yuugi is one of my favorite series!

So if Byakko is on hiatus, does that mean Arata The Legend is on hiatus too? I'd totally lost track of what happened with that one.

Yu Waratse's currently working on Arata:The Legend Remaster. Arata Remaster is a expaned remake of the manga, due to Yu Watase not liking how the manga turned out, due to the editor of Arata: The Legend not understanding what she produced. I'm currently rewatching Fushigi Yugi, and hope there's a Fushigi Yuugi Genbu Kaidien anime in 2025, as it would mark the 20th Anniversiary of the Fushigi Yuugi anime. I hope this gets annouced soonish, as 39-40 episodes would be a perfect episode count of the Genbu arc, as there's 12 volumes of the manga, and this would roughly make the 39-40 episode count use 3 chapters per episode.

No, Arata is currently ongoing, new chapters are on Sunday-Webry (series moved online some time ago)

2025 is a good ball park but I highly doubt it will be more than 26 episodes. I know FY is still held is high regard, but the Production Committee has traditionally not like giving completed works too much attention. If an adaptation comes, it is not going to get the Demon Slayer treatment. It will likely be highly truncated, sucks for the story but may still be salvageable. I mean, I want three cours too, but PC probably just want 26 episodes. Maybe put 4 more episodes onto the Bluray to attract sales?

FY will always have a special place in my heart since it was my first "real" anime (series I didn't watch on TV). Can't believe it's 30 years old now, man........

Totally share the same sentiment as you! Up until now, I'm also waiting for the completion of the Byakko arc!
