I don't expect the animation to improve, but it's nice to see more Househusband.

There is really nothing to "improve" in this case, because the anime being essentially a motion comic was a request from the author herself, not something that was done because of lack of staff or production issues.

The style was NOT a request from the author but came from the producer. Director Chiaki Kon is on record about this.

Btw the mangaka is Kousuke Oono, who is male.
