I'm just waiting for the final episode of it, where they reveal it's actually Attack on Titan the Final Season Part 3 The Conclusion Part 1. The shark was jumped so long ago that it's faded from view in the rear mirror, but they're not going to let this stop any time soon.

I think people have a right to complain about this "Final Season" actually being "3 Final Seasons" and dragging out for 2+ years. Especially anime-only viewers that have had to dodge spoilers and probably the fandom in general this whole time.

Honestly, calling full seasons "part 1/2/3 etc." is ridiculous if the time between seasons is more than ten months. I don't know what kind of marketing strategy this is. Just it seasons 4, 5, and The Final Season. If you wanna be fancy, call it "The Marley Arc, War of Paradis Arc," and "Rumbling Arc."
MAPPA, Iseyama, or whoever did this needs to apologize. It's just frustrating. How many of us got tricked into catching up because we saw that it said "The Final Season" 2 years ago?

What, you're excited anticipating how it all comes out? Ha! Let me just douse your hopes with a bucket of cold cynicism! The ending is terrible! Controversial! You're going to hate it! You might as well not even bother finishing it. Why did you even waste time watching any of this trash instead of listening to us wise and knowing manga readers? We're only trying to save you disappointment. Maybe someday you'll learn not to look forward to anything.
